La casa editrice Giancarlo Zedde esordisce nel 1997 con la pubblicazione della Collana «Musiche inedite e rare del ‘900», un progetto della Biblioteca del Conservatorio di Torino, coordinato da Andrea Lanza con la collaborazione del «Centro Studi Musicali C. Mosso» di Torino.
Negli anni successivi arricchisce il suo catalogo con altri testi musicali molto apprezzati perché particolarmente attenti alla trascrizione delle fonti, alla cura e al rigore scientifico. Fiore all’occhiello di questa produzione sono i trattati sul canto lirico e moderno.
È anche attiva nel campo della narrativa settore nel quale sta ottenendo ampio consenso di critica e di pubblico.
Ha intrapreso la produzione discografica di musica d’autore e della tradizione popolare. Distribuisce Cd delle piccole indies.
È presente nel settore dell’accessorio per musica; produce, infatti, una linea professionale di carta per musica apprezzata sia in Italia sia all’estero.
The publishing house Giancarlo Zedde begins its activity in 1997, by publishing the Series «Musiche inedite e rare del ‘900» a project of the Library of the Conservatory of Music of Turin, coordinated by A. Lanza, and with the contribution of the «Centro Studi Musicali C. Mosso» of Turin.
In the following years it enriches its catalogue with other musical texts, which are much appreciated because they pay particular attention to the transcription of sources, to the care and scientific rigour. The treatises on modern and operatic singing are the buttonhole of this production.
It is also active in the field of fiction, a sector in which it is obtaining a large success of criticism and public. It has embarked on the recording production of auteur music, and popular tradition music.
